While the scope of the Library
Commission's work may change in the future, its members are charged with
overseeing the operation of the Huron Valley Library System, based in Flat
Rock.
Member communities are Gibraltar, Rockwood and Brownstown, but Flat Rock took over the library in 1994 and officials in that city are in the initial stages of designing a new facility.
