The Brownstown Supervisor's Office has begun a Pet Lost and Found service for residents.The Brownstown Supervisor's Office has begun a Pet Lost and Found service for residents.

The new program uses the Township’s website and cablecast messages on Comcast Channel 12 to spread word for pet owners whose dogs and cats have wandered away.

Found Pets & Strays:

To report a found pet, please contact Brownstown Animal Control at (734) 675-4008. Please leave a detailed message describing the found animal along with your contact information.

Lost Pets:

To submit lost pet information for public advertisement, please contact the Supervisor's Office at (734) 675-0071, by email or drop it off at the Supervisor's Office, 21313 Telegraph Road, during regular business hours (Mon-Fri, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm).

Please include the following information:

  • Brief Description (breed, coloring, approx. age)
  • Pet's Name
  • General location where pet was lost
  • Your Contact Information (name, daytime phone or email)
  • A photo of the lost pet may also be included (for website postings only)
  • ADOPT-A-PET

    The following pets are currently being held in the Brownstown Animal Shelter.  They might be lost or they may be looking for a new home with a loving family.

    "Jenna" is an adult female short-haired kitty.  She is a nice girl !!! She would love a home where someone will take care of her and spoil her like she should be!!!  Please call (734) 675-4008 to set up a time to meet this cat. If no answer, please leave a message.

     
    "Jimmy" is a young male short-haired kitty. He was brought into the shelter because his family was evicted from their home. He is sweet but a little scared right now. He likes it when we pet him. His time is VERY LIMITED. Please come and adopt him!!  Please call 734.675.4008 to set up a time to meet this cat. If no answer, please leave a message.

     
    "Pretty Boy" is a young male long-haired tabby.  This is a gorgeous cat with beautiful green eyes!! He is alittle scared being at the pound but who wouldn't be???     "Stewart" is a young male short-haired kitty.  He was brought into the shelter because his family was evicted from their home. He is a real nice cat and loves to get lots of attention.     "Meaty" is an young male brown-black labrador retreiver.  His owner can no longer keep him.  He is very loveable and is already housetrained.  Please call (734) 675-4008 to set up a time to meet him. If no answer, please leave a message.

     
    "Corky" is a young female shepherd-labrador mix.  She was found as a stray in the south end of Brownstown.  She is a very sweet dog and is already housetrained.  Please call 675-4008 for more info.

    "Ralph" is an adult male black/tan Coonhound.  This poor baby is so skinny. You can see every single bone in his body even his hip bones are sticking out. He is a nice dog just looking for someone to love him and feed him. He likes attention and he is very friendly!! He looks to be about 3-4 years old. Please call 675-4008 to set up a time to meet this dog. If no answer please leave a message. 

    "Tinkerbell" is an adult female kitty.  She is very scared at the shelter, but is a nice cat. She warms up to you once you start petting her. She was turned into the shelter because her family was moving. She is spayed. Please come and meet her and all the other beautiful cats here! They need homes quickly.  Please call 675-4008 to set up a time to meet this cat. If no answer please leave a message.

    "Sparky" is an young male Husky/Malamute mix.  He is absolutely gorgeous.  Unfortunately, his owner can no longer keep him.  He is 9 months old, already housetrained, neutered and up-to-date on his shots.  Call now or you will miss your chance to have Sparky become a part of your family.  Call 675-4008 and leave a message.


     
    "Marmelade" is an adult female kitty.  She is the sister to Big Boy. Both were trapped at Our Lady of Hope cemetery. Someone probably dumped them there.  She is not as scared as her brother is. She is neutered and front declawed also. Stuart is looking for a home where she will remain inside since she is declawed.

     
    "Big Boy" is an adult male kitty.  This guy came into the shelter in a live trap and a few days later another cat that is probably his brother came in too!! They both are neutered and front declawed. They were trapped at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery. This one is a little scared at the shelter but that is understandable. He looks to be about 1-2 years old. Big Boy Too!!
