Biography

Giuseppe (Joe) DiSanto came to the Township in July 2003 from the city of Wyandotte, and took over as manager of the Economic and Community Development Department.

He has a master’s degree in Architecture from University of Detroit Mercy. Joe is an eight-year resident of Wyandotte.

The Economic Development Department works with builders, developers, and residents to plan new residential, commercial and industrial subdivisions, single and multiple retail and commercial projects and industrial sites.

In general, the Planning Commission and Development Authority and various other boards regarding development are organized and coordinated through this department.

For example, in the past year, the Henry ford Health System purchased property on West Road just east of Telegraph Road and construction has started on a $40 million Ambulatory Care Center that will house a 24 hour-a-day emergency facility.
