Senior Coordinator

In November 2005, the Township hired new Senior Citizen Coordinator Maxine Schofield.　 Maxine earned a degree in Recreation and Sport Management from Lake Superior State University and is currently attending graduate school through Central Michigan University, pursuing a degree in Administration.

She is a member of the Michigan Parks and Recreation Association and currently serves as the Township's representative on the Senior Alliance (Area Agency of Aging 1C) board of directors.

She has worked for several other communities including Canton Township, Boyne City, and the City of Sault St. Marie and says she enjoys helping seniors advance their social lives, pursue leisure, actively participate in wellness education, and increase their overall quality of life.　

Maxine is excited to lead such an active and diverse group of seniors and hopes to improve on the many programs and services that were in place when she took the job.
