Steven R. Allen has been a resident of Brownstown Township for 14 years. He is a retired Sergeant from the Detroit Police Department, where he served for 26 years. He was appointed to the Brownstown Planning Commission where he served for 7 years. He was also the Liaison person to the Brownstown Zoning Board of Appeals for 2 years.

Steven graduated from Detroit Southeastern High School. He studied Criminal Justice at Wayne County Community College and Eastern Michigan University.

Mr. Allen is member of the following organizations: Retired Detroit Police and Fire Fighter Association, Detroit Police Sergeant and Lieutenants Association, Detroit Police Officers Association, Past Vice President of the Wayne County Detective Association, Certified member of the International Association of Police Evidence I.A.P.E., National Association for the Advancement of Colored People N.A.A.C.P., and attends Solomon’s Temple Church. He is active in his community.

Steven and his wife Ursula have three children and 8 grandchildren. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their family.
