A Message From the Chief
Brownstown is a great place to live, work, worship, and even just visit. Brownstown has always been my home, and I am passionate about keeping it great. Quality of life starts with public safety and the goal of the men and women of the Brownstown Police Department is to constantly strive to make this one of the safest communities in the Downriver area. To accomplish this we know we need strong support from the great people of this community. We know the importance of this support and will strive to continue building trusting relationships with the community. I strongly believe that “Community Policing” is not a unit or bureau within a police agency, but a policing philosophy that every Police Member must embrace. Public service is not just a job, it’s a calling. Now more than ever, it takes a special person answer this calling. I am fortunate to serve with a quality staff of Police Officers, Dispatchers, Command Staff, and Support Services that sincerely care about this community. Collectively we will work with our community partners to improve the quality of life the good citizens who live, work and play in this town. I cannot guarantee perfection and I acknowledge that mistakes will be made, but what I can tell you is we will pursue this quest for public safety for all citizens vigorously, with honor, integrity, and transparency within the bounds of the law and Constitution.
