COVID-19 Charter Township of Brownstown Updates

Township Hall Offices are open for regular business. Township Hall hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
For the continued safety of our employees and other visitors, we strongly encourage the use of a face mask when entering the building to do business.


PLEASE NOTE:   Due to COVID-19, we discourage payment by Cash.  WE ENCOURAGE THAT YOU PAY BY: Personal Check, Money Order, Cashier’s Check or Credit Card.  Please feel free to use our secure drive-up drop box too. To make a payment online, please click here.

2020 PET LICENSES:

The requirement to purchase a pet license for 2020 has been suspended.  Residents who paid for a license for 2020  will have that payment applied to their 2021 license.  All animals are still required to have a current rabies vaccination and be able to provide the certificate, as needed.  The process for dog kennel remains the same. Licensing is required.

Recreational Events Updates
The Township’s Recreation Department has reviewed many of the events planned and made adjustments as listed below:

Splash Pad:
The Brownstown Splash Pad is scheduled to open July 1 at 50% capacity.

Tentatively:
  • Community Center - Due to Governor's Executive Order, rentals suspended until after October 31.
  • Event Center - Due to Governor's Executive Order, rentals suspended until after October 31.
Cancelled:
  • Concerts in the Parks 
  • Movies in the Park 
  • Summer Recreation Classes 
  • DDA Community Events
