COVID-19 Charter Township of Brownstown Updates

For safety concerns, the Brownstown Community Center and the Township Hall Offices are now CLOSED to the public. If you need to do business with the Township, please contact the specific department for further assistance.  Call 734-365-0065 for a department directory.

Township Board and Commission Meetings
To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, protect the health of the public and provide essential protections to Brownstown Township Residents, all meetings of the Township Board and Township Commissions will be conducted virtually using Zoom until further notice. Please check the agenda for the specific meeting to find the log in information for Zoom. 

PLEASE NOTE:   Due to COVID-19, we discourage payment by Cash.  WE ENCOURAGE THAT YOU PAY BY: Personal Check, Money Order, Cashier’s Check or Credit Card.  Please feel free to use our secure drive-up drop box too. To make a payment online, please click here.


The requirement to purchase a pet license for 2020 has been suspended.  Residents who paid for a license for 2020  will have that payment applied to their 2021 license.  All animals are still required to have a current rabies vaccination and be able to provide the certificate, as needed.  The process for dog kennel remains the same. Licensing is required.
