old Hyper-Reach Alert Messaging

Brownstown Township has partnered with Hyper-Reach, a state-of-the-art mass emergency notification system.  The system provides rapid notification of hazardous and urgent situations using a mix of telephone calls, text and email messages, and even TTY/TDD service for the hearing impaired.  The Township plans to use this service primarily for alerts about severe weather and environmental hazards, criminal activity, and missing persons.  On occasion, this service will also be used to communicate important community information to residents and visitors.

Landline phones are automatically enrolled for Community alerts. However, for Weather alerts to landlines and Community and Weather alerts to mobile phones and email addresses, residents and people who work in Brownstown can sign up by calling or texting "Alert" to (734) 789-3770 or by visiting the website http://hyper-reach.com/mibrownstownsignup.html

Residents can also download the Hyper-Reach Anywhere app on their smartphones.  Hyper-Reach Anywhere is a free smartphone app that allows individual citizens to manage and monitor the alerts they receive, for their home and office addresses, as well as addresses for friends and family.

Note: In order to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the alerts you receive, you will be asked to enter a valid Brownstown address. This address can be your home, place of work, school, or any other location in our community. If you wish to receive general Township alerts, feel free to use the Brownstown Township Hall address at 21313 Telegraph Road, 48183.
