STORM CLEANUP EFFORTS
WASTE MANAGEMENT - ADDITIONAL TRASH FROM STORM:
Starting Friday, March 3, 2023, and concluding Friday, March 17, 2023, WM will expand collection parameters to accommodate increased waste due to the recent ice storm.
Up to 3 additional bags may be placed outside your trash cart for pick-up on your collection day. These bags will not be considered bulk and do not count as your single weekly bulk item; however, any bags beyond the limit will not be collected and regular guidelines must be followed.
For trash collection guidelines, visit www.Brownstown-mi.org/residents
FALLEN TREES AND LIMBS:
Brownstown Township is coordinating with Wayne County to clear limbs and branches from road easements in our community. As a Township, the roads and trees in the easements are under the jurisdiction of the County.
However, the Township will be supplementing those efforts where possible so we can get our community back in shape in a timely manner. We appreciate your patience as this storm caused substantial damage.
To report fallen branches, limbs, and tree debris in the road or easement, please call Wayne County’s hotline at 888-762-3273 or report online by visiting: https://www.waynecounty.com/departments/publicservices/roads/road-hazard-form.aspx
